Contemplation

Reflections from within:
Entry from my journal - dated 2008.03.31

It has just stopped raining.
The weather is still wet and one can feel the wetness with every breath they take.
Its gloomy spring noon with rain behind it. The water is dripping from the trees which silently stood in the onlash of the rain and cold. Now sheds the last remains of tears once poured as white petals of cherry flower.
whole pathway is covered with the white petals of Sakura fall.
The scene is enchanting with silence occassionally broken by water droplets falling down from the tree and birds making the call out to mates.

Standing by the side of the green watered pond with dim light from the sky illuminating the top of the sorrounding trees, I recall and relish the frog and pond haiku from Basho. It is from "Kawazu Awase" (Frog contest)....
And it goes like this;

Breaking the silence
Of an ancient pond,
A frog jumped into water-
A deep resonance

A deep relaxation and happiness has engulfed me. I feel complete for a moment.

(Spring day - It is the kind of day one often have in late March - so perfect that one wants it to last for ever)
