Tribute to my thoughts

Morning was gloomy and drizzling. The expected weather !

While commuting on the train , it was my own private world - Me , Myself and My weird thoughts. Most of the time what I think or rather churn out during the journey of nearly an hour is lost , the moment i step out of the Metro trains. Its the same routine of follow the crowd. I sometime feel , I am drifting in the Human Sea. Here , there and every where. Sometimes in Human sea the currents are so dense that I can call that its elbow to elbow sea of humanity !

I can see the tension , grimness , and also drowsiness in the fellow commuter's face. Be a male or fee-male , both the same. In the stations I can hear the bouncing and echoing sounds of high heeled foot gear made by running ladies. Its fee-males that run the running show !

I think I should remember all the things i thought of , or planed to do.Many times my good thoughts are lost forever due to my negligence. Or rather my slightly laid back nature ! For me its walking and Travelling on Car or Train or any moving objects that starts chain of thoughts.

Today I thought of writing about my Good old trekking days back in the place I worked and worshipped ( for its natural beauty ), stretching back to a decade. My active trekking days have ended for the time being , at least. I will be posting my thoughts on the weekly treks I did back in India in the future. ( Only problem here is my dedicated time to tap the keys and a little bit of me for some creative input ).
I will not disappoint myself !

Notes:
Writing on paper is simpler and creative - I can change between ಕನ್ನಡ , English and sketches .
I love to do sketches while writing. My notebook are filled with such weird sketches.
My creative side is not accepting the Tapping the keyboard as natural thing !

I'M-POSSIBLE

Vanilla Ice Cream that puzzled General motors!!!!

This is a real story that happened between the customer of General Motors and its Customer-Care Executive.
Pls read on.....

A complaint was received by the Pontiac Division of General Motors:
"This is the second time I have written to you, and I don't blame you for not answering me, because I sounded crazy, but it is a fact that we have a tradition in our family of Ice-Cream for dessert after dinner each night, but the kind of ice cream varies so, every night, after we've eaten, the whole family votes on which kind of ice cream we should have and I drive down to the store to get it. It's also a fact that I recently purchased a new Pontiac and since then my trips to the store have created a problem.....You see, every time I buy a vanilla ice-cream, when I start back from the store my car won't start. If I get any other kind of ice cream, the car starts just fine. I want you to know I'm serious about this question, no matter how silly it sounds "What is there about a Pontiac that makes it not start when I get vanilla ice cream, and easy to start whenever I get any other kind?"

The Pontiac President was understandably skeptical about the letter, but sent an Engineer to check it out anyway. The latter was surprised to be greeted by a successful, obviously well educated man in a fine neighborhood. He had arranged to meet the man just after dinner me, so the two hopped into the car and drove to the ice cream store. It was vanilla ice cream that night and, sure enough, after they came back to the car, it wouldn't start. The Engineer returned for three more nights. The first night, they got chocolate. The car started. The second night, he got strawberry. The car started.

The third night he ordered vanilla. The car failed to start. Now the engineer, being a logical man, refused to believe that this man's car was allergic to vanilla ice cream. He arranged, therefore, to continue his visits for as long as it took to solve the problem. And toward this end he began to take notes: He jotted down all sorts of data: time of day, type of gas uses, time to drive back and forth etc.

In a short time, he had a clue: the man took less time to buy vanilla than any other flavor. Why? The answer was in the layout of the store. Vanilla, being the most popular flavor, was in a separate case at the front of the store for quick pickup. All the other flavors were kept in the back of the store at a different counter where it took considerably longer to check out the flavor.
Now, the question for the Engineer was why the car wouldn't start when it took less time. Eureka - Time was now the problem - not the vanilla ice cream!!!! The engineer quickly came up with the answer: "vapor lock". It was happening every night; but the extra time taken to get the other flavors allowed the engine to cool down sufficiently to start. When the man got vanilla, the engine was still too hot for the vapor lock to dissipate.
Bystanders View:
Even crazy looking problems are sometimes real and all problems seem to be simple only when we find the solution, with cool thinking.

What really matters is your attitude and your perception.

A Discussion

FINDING TRUE GOD
1) Does burning the oil lamps, electrical bulbs around pictures in the name of God help in burning your EGO? It just burns a hole in your pockets. That is it.

2) If God can see all at any time, does he need those flickering weak lamps to see around your house and temples?

3) If God is everywhere, then how can you lock him up in your ‘God’s room’?

4) If God is with you always, why are you searching him in the temples, churches and mosques?

5) If God is ONE, then why does he need so many places to live when people don’t have shelter over the head?

6) If people become ghosts & spirits after death, then why are all worshiping the ghosts of king Ram, Krishna or Jesus?

7) Has anyone taken the photograph of God to think that he looks as funny and fat like Ganapati or voluptuous like Durga? Do educated people today need to celebrate these creatures’ festivals just because some politician or saint advised without giving a thought about the nature? Move with time, please.

8) Why can’t people today gather for a WISE reason & purpose of helping the poor, disabled or old people instead of wasting public money?

9) Why do ‘nature-worshipping’ Hindus contribute and support the ‘destruction’ of the same by disposing dirt/faeces/ half-burnt corpse/idols in the ever-shrinking rivers, burn wood by felling trees to burn corpse and to perform rituals, gathering in huge numbers to pollute the environment?

10) Why do the Christians still believe in miracles of a virgin giving birth? How can they be called ‘educators’ while they are so superstitious and are still searching GOD in the thin air?
11) Why does the religion Islam which starts with the word ‘PEACE’ has successfully terrorized the world?

12) When half of the world does not carry out the customs, traditions and rituals and still LIVING WELL, then why the other half wastes money on these silly customs?

13) When you believe that God created EVERYTHING in this universe, why do you worship those fraud saints and sadhus?

14) How is that even educated people can’t differentiate between mythology (fabricated stories) & reality?

15) Why do parents force children believe in thousands of years lies and force them to waste money on non-essential customs? These are the parents who throw a fuss when the children want a new book/pen!

16) How is that you don’t know that a religious person is a fraud and a spiritual person is non-religious?

17) Does God need to be given BRIBES… when he is one who is GIVING ALL TO US? Isn’t it like filling the ocean with water?

18) Why do you need to decorate and dress this GOD? Why does he need to go for a fashion parade when billions don’t have clothes to cover their dignity?

19) Why do you need to FEED this GOD when he has all & gives us all? Or is this God permanently hungry? Billions of living beings don’t have a morsel to eat that you want to feed this imaginary being!

20) How is that you are never thinking of donating that amount saved (may be even Rs.10/) from burning that wasteful lamp, decorating this GOD, performing silly and useless rituals?

21) How is that every greedy and ambitious person ends up in ‘Art of living’ classes with high levels of stress where as those who take life as it comes and be humble don’t need any of these guidance?

22) If all our ancestor saints, sadhus and rishis were crooked, arrogant and foul mouthed; why to follow them even today?

23) When you declare you trust NONE BUT THE POWER OF GOD, why do you then trust the power of pearl, diamond and corals more? Did it ever strike you that diamond is just another piece of rock HE has created?!

24) If you are truly educated, then how is that you don’t want to stand up for the RIGHT VIEWS, RIGHT PRINCIPLES AND RIGHT DUTIES?

God is not lost to find him; he is not physically present to feed and to shelter him. For the gullible idiot everything is a miracle. For a thinker it is all science. For a spiritual person it is just mind over the matter. His virtual presence and thought is required to make us humble, clean, sincere and honest. God exists in essence and effect of life. It is that feeling wherein the TRUE GOD lives!!

(with thanx to Mrs. Rekha Ram for her insights..)

Notes:

"What is the atheist's symbol?"
A simple black circle. It has the following characteristics in common with atheism:
It is simple.
It is whole.
It is unbroken.
It is obvious.
It is all-encompassing.
It is strong.
It has nothing to do with any religion or belief system

And, it makes for quite a small image file.

After Thots:

  • I smile because I don't know what the hell is going on.
  • God made hundreds of millions of planets and wonderful species. But, by the time he got to us, he was scraping the bottom of the barrel.

What is Love & Marriage ................?

To all of you who are married and all others who aren't....

One day, Plato asked his teacher, "What is love? How can I find it?" His teacher answered, "There is a vast wheat field in front. Walk forward without turning back, and pick only one stalk. If you find the most magnificent stalk, then you have found love." Plato walked forward, and before long, he returned with empty hands, having picked nothing.

His teacher asked, "Why did you not pick any stalk?" Plato answered, "Because I could only pick once, and yet I could not turn back. I did find the most magnificent stalk, but did not know if there were any better ones ahead, so I did not pick it. As I walked further, the stalks that I saw were not as good as the earlier one, so I did not pick any in the end. His teacher then said, "And that is love."

On another day, Plato asked his teacher, "What is marriage? How can I Find it?" His teacher answered, "There is a thriving forest in front. Walk forward without turning back, and chop down only one tree. If you find the tallest tree, then you have found marriage". Plato walked forward, and before long, he returned with a tree. The tree was not thriving, and it was not tall either. It was only an ordinary tree. His teacher asked, "Why did you chop down such an ordinary tree?" Plato answered, "Because of my previous experience. I had walked through the field, but returned with empty hands. This time, I saw this tree, and I felt that it was not bad, so I chopped it down and brought it back. I did not want to miss the opportunity."

His teacher then said, "And that is marriage. You see son Love is the most beautiful thing to happen to a person, its an opportunity but you don't realize its worth when you have it but only when its gone like the field of stalks. Marriage like the tree you chopped , it's a compromise."
Bystanders view:
So don't let your love go away from you.........................
otherwise u will have to compromise with the marriage..........

Story Time

Ever heard the story of the giant ship engine that failed? The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a youngster. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand Rupees.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill." The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer ......................... Rs. 2.00
Knowing where to tap ............................. Rs. 9998.00

Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference

Colors..

Colors.

Its Enchanting. Mesmerising at times . Absolutely fantastic when presented live . Vivid when viewed with child's curiosity. Captivating when spring blooms. Absolutely , there is flow of life in color.
Dumbstruck at the altar of an artist. Framed on the celluloid of photographer. Magnifying the beauty that is already present. Blissfully displaying on petals of flowers.
Colors.
Its life that is dream. By living a dream you awake to the fluid flow of blend of colors.
Thanx for the color else , else life would have been monotonous.

Mother ..

A MOTHERS LOVE by Author Unknown

A little boy came up to his mother in the kitchen one evening while she was fixing supper, and handed her a piece of paper that he had been writing on. After his Mom dried her hands on an apron, she read it, and this is what it said:
For cutting the grass: $5.00
For cleaning up my room this week: $1.00
For going to the store for you: $.50
Baby-sitting my kid brother while you went shopping: $.25
Taking out the garbage: $1.00 For getting a good report card: $5.00
For cleaning up and raking the yard: $2.00
Total owed: $14.75

Well, his mother looked at him standing there, and the boy could see the memories flashing through her mind. She picked up the pen, turned over the paper he'd written on, and this is what she wrote:
For the nine months I carried you while you were growing inside me: No Charge
For all the nights that I've sat up with you, doctored and prayed for you: No Charge
For all the trying times, and all the tears that you've caused through the years: No Charge
For all the nights that were filled with dread, and for the worries I knew were ahead: No Charge
For the toys, food, clothes, and even wiping your nose: No Charge
Son, when you add it up, the cost of my love is: No Charge.

When the boy finished reading what his mother had written, there were big tears in his eyes, and he looked straight at his mother and said, "Mom, I sure do love you." And then he took the pen and in great big letters he wrote: "PAID IN FULL".

A Story..

A new vacuum cleaner salesman knocked on the door on the first house of the street.

A tall lady answered the door. Before she could speak, the enthusiastic salesman barged into the living room and opened a big black plastic bag and poured all the cow droppings onto the carpet.

"Madam, if I could not clean this up with the use of this new powerful vacuum cleaner, I will EAT all this s...!" exclaimed the eager salesman.

"Do you need chilli sauce or ketchup with that" asked the lady.

The bewildered salesman asked, "Why, madam?"

"We just moved in, & there's no electricity in the house!"
